New Gran Colombian Command Greens

Here is a quick update regarding the upcoming release of the Gran Colombian packs for the South American Wars of Independence range. Above you can see a picture I received of the newly finished Command greens a few days ago.

These chaps, along with marching and skirmishing packs, are now winging their way to the casting service. With a hopefully reasonable turnaround time at the casters, I hope that I can have these in my hands and available for sale by the end of this month.

Just to remind you what the other two packs look like, please see the images below.

  3. So now that the Gran columbians and the Spanish line are near the finish line, what's coming next? Any chance of squeezing in some mounted higher command?

    1. Hello Rob, certainly I will think about this. Some cavalry are planned so perhaps we'll try to squeeze in Bolivar, Sucre, Paez and Santander :-). First though is to get the Spanish completed. Then next up should be some Llanero light cavalry. Please keep the suggestions coming in and if there is clear demand for a given unit pack, then it can be moved to the front of the sculpting queue.

    2. Hi Mark, glad to hear about the llanero light cavalry. That will be a fun unit, and good for both sides. Personally I'd like to see those and a generic militia unit (perhaps with only different commands, one with Spanish officers and one with gran columbians) as the next units. But some high command would be a nice treat!

    3. Hello Rob, the generic peasant militia unit is also in the pipeline, though probably we will give it a generic command as well that is sutable for both sides (militia officers were often only distinguishable by an unbuttoned uniform jacket of any sort, but otherwise dressed the same as the troops).

  4. Spanish Elites in firing poses are on the workbench, once they are done the first four packs of Spanish will be off to the casters.

    1. Hello Rob, they are now with the casting service as we speak. I hope to get the figure delivered in the next 10-14 days. I'll make an announcement when they're ready for sale. Fingers crossed the Spanish will not be too long behind them.
